CAREERS AT SCEC
Are you looking for a career that is diverse, fast paced, exciting,
and personally rewarding? Do you want to be a professional, and
make a difference in someone's life; in your life?
Emergency Dispatchers don't just answer telephones and talk on
the radio. Dispatchers are highly trained, and are the first point of
contact a caller with an emergency has.
Dispatchers must quickly obtain and analyze information about an
emergency, then make split-second decisions on how to
appropriately handle the call. Dispatchers actually are the first
responders, instructing callers on how bystanders and the caller
themselves can remain safe until help arrives. Dispatchers also
provide medical instructions over the telephone to keep patients
stable and alive until an ambulance arrives.
Dispatchers make a difference. If you want to go home at night
feeling good about yourself, we invite you to explore a career in
emergency dispatch.
